The “Redevelopment and modernization of via Marina and the modernization of Municipio-San Giovanni tramline” project comes from a wide preliminary project, that is “New Municipio-Pietrarsa-Garibaldi-Stadera-Carlo tramline system III”, drawn in 2000 by the Municipality and proposed by the Municipality Transport Plan. The System had the purpose of using the transport infrastructures as a driving force for the Urban Regeneration of the city of Naples
